Round Table Summary (3) - Religion and Cities Empty Round Table Summary (3) - Religion and Cities

Post by Darian Mon Apr 01, 2019 11:40 am

So we've finished our last scheduled lore-based Round Table!  It's been a long few weeks but we got a ton of good feedback from the community and things are moving forward!  Here are the talking points from the Round Table, and keep an eye out for the next announced one as we move into Mechanics and Game-Systems.

    General Details

    • Gods will remain mostly unseen but will have agents moving in the world.
    • Setting is built from Religion outward.
    • Unique Housing system for each race with craftable teleporters.
    • Alignment is not absolute.  Characters are expected to be rounded.
    • Government positions can be taken by players in the future.
    • Agendas of the Gods won't always be easy to follow, or even knowable.
    • City Upgrades will be available for communities who gather resources together.
    • Expansions will be large and continue to be in development after launch.  The first expansion will deal with exploration and new systems.  That means new, custom boats!
    • A character's City Culture will matter just as much as their racial identity.
    • Some classes (Mages and Druid and Clerics for example) will have unique roleplay opportunities.  Others (Like the Fighter and Chevalier) will have separate opportunities inside the city structure, however roleplay and character development will always come before class choice when determining a character's path through Myth!

Big thanks to the players who showed up to talk and ask questions, and those who have come to staff with questions since. We're really excited to be making this a place where we can all share our storytelling together. We look forward to the change of gears as we move into mechanics and hope that people will join us as we continue to make Myth a home for everyone!
